Battle FAQ

Q: What is the Training Area and what do I do there?

A: This is where you select an opponent to battle to gain experience, gold, crystals and diamonds. As you gain experience and rise in level you will be able to attack higher level monsters. Battles in the Training Area will inflict damage on you, which you can restore at the Fountain of Ardana. You may set your options so that following each battle you are automatically healed by the Fountain of Ardana.

Q: Why does it say I am currently using 1 mana when I battle the monster?

A: You may select the amount of “mana per battle” to save time or to use mana more quickly. The default level is 5 mana per battle. You may adjust the level between 1 and 5 in the Vital Details area of the Great Hall. When selecting a higher number of mana, you will search the bodies of the monsters killed and receive Gold, Diamonds or Crystals, proportional to the amount of mana that you are using per battle. For example: If you have chosen 5 mana per battle, you will receive 0, 5, or 10 crystals OR diamonds.

Q: Will raising the mana used affect my chances of getting a mana reload?

A: Not in any way. When you battle at 1 mana, you have 1 chance. When you battle at 5 mana, you will have 5 chances. You should not worry that changing the amount of mana used will decrease your chances of finding a mana reload. This feature is solely to provide convenience and save clicks.

Q: How do I automatically heal (or increase mana used) while in the Training Area?

A: Go to The Realm and click on Great Hall. Under “Vital details”, you will find a box that you can check labeled “Automatically Heal in Training Arena.” When selecting the automatic heal option, please note that if you do not have enough Gold Coins to heal after a battle you will receive a message in orange alerting you to this fact.

Q: Are there any advantages to using the trainer rather than battling other players?

A: The advantage of battling the trainer is that in addition to the potential crystal you may receive when killing other players you may receive diamonds as well. You will receive gold coins each time you kill one of the monsters. Another advantage of using the trainer is the (rare) potential of receiving a “mana reload,” discussed in the mana FAQ. Please be aware that if you have the auto-heal function on while doing battles, other players may kill you while you are auto-healing. If you are not paying close attention this can result in the loss of crystal to other players as well as increased amounts of crystal and Gold Coins to heal/revive.

Q: How do I battle other players?

A: You may find other players to battle by choosing either the Player vs. player or Battle Search links in the main Battle Area:
Player vs. player: allows you to enter the name or ID# of a player if you know whom you wish to attack. There is also a link called, “These players are alive” which when chosen will display all players in the realm who are currently attackable. You initiate an attack by clicking the
Battle link corresponding to the player you wish to attack.

Battle Search: This option allows you to filter the level of the player you want to battle. You may also elect that those in your town be filtered out if your town discourages attacking other town members.

Q: What is the Daily Tournament?

A: Also referred to as the “tourney,” the daily tournament is ranked simulated battle system that allows you to test your skills (stats) against other players at your level. The tourney is started at about 12:00 game time every day. Those players who are signed up are automatically revived to enter into battle until only one player is left. You will be randomly matched with someone of similar skills. If you survive the first battle you move on to fight another, etc. until there is only one player alive. To the victor go the sign-up spoils (GC and Diamonds). You may also find Crystal on your opponents’ bodies as you win. On a note as well. If you do not have the funds to heal, and you are already dead. If you have signed up to the tournament you will not participate in it.

Q: I get the idea, but I’d like to know more before I sign up…

A: A great way to understand what happens is to “view the last tournament.” Here you will see the way the tournament works. Since much of the battling system is random, almost anyone has a chance to win. However, you will notice that players with very good stats will eventually win more battles. To get an idea of who your competition might be, you can check the Tournament Rankings List. To see who is signed up for the current daily tourney you can click the “view sign up list” link.

Q: What are the tourney levels, and how can I move up?

A: The tournament has a level system. You only need one win to go up from level 1 to level 2, after that the number of wins required to go up a level increases by 2 per level. All of the “real game” battle conditions (stats, rings, curses, donation-related armor boost, etc.) exist in the tourney as well. So from a strategy standpoint, your battle strategy in the game should apply in the tournament as well.

MISCELLANEOUS BATTLE TOPICS

Q: My stats are better than a player that just killed me. How?

A: There are a few possibilities:
1. That player may have invested time, money, strategy and mana in getting superior weapon armor. Even if your stats are better, the other player’s armor may absorb more of your damage.
2. The player may have “Donated to the Game” which adds a boost to the armor during battles (training area only). While this is a small boost it may, especially combined with other factors, give the other player an edge.
3. The most likely answer is that the player has invested time, mana, money and strategy in buying one or more Rings.

Q: What? Rings? What are Rings and what do they do?

A: Rings are items that can be equipped as stat boosters. You can equip 2 rings at one time.

Ring of Might This ring gives you +1 in strength per level
Ring of Dexterity This ring gives you +1 in agility per level
Ring of Constitution Increase your HP by 5%
Ring of Giant Strength This ring gives you +2 in strength per level
Ring of the Cat This ring gives you +2 in agility per level
Ring of Health Increase your HP by 10%
Ring of Titan's Strength This ring gives you +4 in strength per level
Ring of the Shadow This ring gives you +4 in agility per level
Ring of Life Increase your HP by 15%

The more a ring provides a boost, the more it will cost. Currently rings are a fairly new addition to the game, so players are trying to figure out strategies about whether it’s best to invest in rings or not. Players deciding rings provide a good advantage must decide when to invest and which stat or stats they wish to boost. You can sell a ring but you only get half the value back in Diamonds, so choose wisely.

More than 1 of the same ring may be worn at once, though the maximum amount of rings that can be worn at a time is two. For example, a player can equip two Rings’ of Life at one time, increasing their HP by 30%. When you equip a HP+ Ring, a green aura will glow around you prior to a battle.

Q: I went to the Chemistry Shop to “buy a stat” and I saw a purchase Potions option. What are potions and what do they do?

A: For starters, you will see various links in this page. The first two been: Gain 1 Agility, Gain 1 Strength. These potions cost 50 diamonds and 50 crystals each. You can only buy 4 stat points a day. Although you can buy them in any randomisation you feel. So you could buy 3 strength points and 1 agility point.

The next potion you can buy is called a stasis potion. This potion can freeze your account for up to two weeks, and give you full immunity from all battles. While in stasis, you will collect your daily mana and cannot be attacked. It costs 10 Diamonds per day. Be warned, the effects are immediate. This means as soon as you purchase this potion, you will be automatically logged out for however long you are in stasis for.

The last potion in the list you can purchase is known as the black death potion. This potion will kill you instantly. Protecting you from players who may want to fight and kill you. This potion is highly effective when town wars are occurring, since if you have no mana to suicide with then this potion is just for you. This potion costs 30 diamonds to use each time, and you can use as many as you want. As long as you have the diamonds.
