Help Files

Welcome to The Lost Realm! You have just joined an excellent game with many activities and a great community. There are several basics to cover in order for you to be successful and popular in the game.

As a new member to the game, you may be referred to by other players as a “newbie,” “newb,” or “n00b.” This term is both one of affection (as players remember back when they just started and didn’t know anything) as well as a slight insult. By reading this file it is hoped you will avoid some of the mistakes newer players make that might annoy the players who have been around longer.

First, Congratulations! By reading this file (and others mentioned below) you will have a basic knowledge of the game and its features, you will have several questions answered before you even know to ask them. Please read all of the help files before asking questions of other members. In addition to this file you should check out:

Game FAQ (Frequently asked Questions) These will cover:

Message Board Rules
Chat Rules

All of these files can be accessed by clicking the “Help Files” link in the lower right corner of your screen.

There are additional resources to help new members. Make sure you review the Message Board Thread “Questions Board” where there is an excellent “Newbie Guide.” You will also see posts there from other new members asking questions. By reading these files first you may even be able to answer some of their questions, and then you are well on your way to becoming an “Oldbie.”

If you have reviewed all of the help files and reviewed the Newbie Guide and still have questions you can:
1) Post your question on the Questions Board and check back frequently for one or more answers to your question. There are several different strategies in the game for players to be successful so you might get a variety of different answers, or
2) Visit the Chat Room. One of the outstanding features of this game is the community. Members frequently stop by to chat and have fun. These members, as well as the staff members in chat are always willing to help out if it appears you have done the reading recommended.
3) When you are just beginning, it is asked that you not “mail” staff questions, as they are busy with their responsibilities and may not be able to respond quickly. However, you will often find our very active staff in the Chat Room as mentioned above.

Another way to explore the game is to click all the links and see what you can learn. You will discover battling, mining, more about your fellow members, “top player” lists and more!

By following these guidelines you will get a very good understanding of the game and how it is played. The most important aspect is that you have fun and enjoy your time in the Lost Realm.
